How do I improve my Spanish?

RB asked:

Okay, it’s been an aspiration of mine to become multi-lingual and learn at least another language as it fascinates me.

I have been learning Spanish for just over a year.
I’m fair good, with the reasonable amount of help, at listening and reading. I can do simple stuff in writing and listening easy.

However, because it is GCSE, we don’t work much on speaking and I lack confidence when I’m in a Spanish country or put on the spot.
I wish to take Spanish A-Level and I want to become fluent, sometime in my life.

I don’t particularly need to learn it for a specific job, but like I said, it fascinates me.

Any suggestions that would help. Like any specific exercises, websites etc. And please don’t say go to Spain because, as I 15, I only have that possbility when I’m on holiday.

Anyone know of any good free and safe sites that I can get an email of a person who wants to learn english for example. You get what I mean, those e-buddy thingy-ma-jigs xD

Answers appreciated. Thanks =]
When I say Spanish countries. I mean spanish speaking countries. Spain, the Canary islands.
And yes I do take lessons at school. But like I said, we concentrate on writing and listening more, not really the speaking aspect.
And I would practice by talking to Spanish people. But hey! Lacking the spanish people here! That was the point of my question *points at part about e-buddy sites*

I Need Help Learning Spanish?

misskitty715 asked:

I will be moving to Miami in about 4 months. It is a short time, I know. I have checked out the free spanish programs online already. I recently purchased a learn spanish computer program and have finished the beginner course. I watch the spanish station. I listen to the spanish radio station also. My concern now is that the information is not sticking. Does anyone have any advice on retaining the lessons. I’m also concerned that I can’t really pick up on spoken spanish. I think I’m doing ok with written though. I would love to have someone to chat or email with in spanish. Any relevant advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
