Learning Spanish for medical professionals?

I did spend 5 years studying spanish through high school and college so I have some knowledge of the language. Unfortunately it has been 7 years since I’ve actually had to speak it. Now I’m in nursing school and have found patients who have no English knowledge. I think it would be nice to be able to speak with these patients.

Where can I go to refresh my spanish and learn medical terms? I can’t add in another course at school with my nursing schedule. Maybe a computer program or website that I could access during my free time?

Check the community college for non-credit courses. Some of these courses meet only a few times and require no outside work. Perhaps they have one specifically for people in the medical field.

i think real conversations will be the most usefull. Maybe you can practice with a friend that speaks spanish. I think it is great what you are trying to do. Good luck!
